Our History
TeamPersona is a WMBE (Women & Minority Business Enterprise) certified technical staffing agency, serving the dynamic west coast economy and beyond. We were founded in May 1995
by Ginny Velasquez. Ginny obtained her Mathematics and Computer Science degree from the University of California at San Diego and then worked for five years for Andersen Consulting,
(now known as Accenture) one of the world's leading computer consulting service companies. At Andersen, she worked in all areas of the software development life cycle including: IT
systems strategy and assessment, project planning, requirements analysis, designing, coding, testing, conversion, implementation and roll-out and production support. She held roles of
increasing responsibility from programmer/analyst up through project manager. Upon leaving Andersen, Ginny worked for a year as a Project Manager on an independent contractor basis.
Through her experiences as a consultant in a large company, as an independent contractor, as a programmer and as a project manager responsible for hiring staff, she noticed a need for a
different kind of technical staffing agency. Both technical staff and clients mentioned to her time and again how important it was to both of them to work with someone who was friendly,
trustworthy and technically savvy. It was upon these foundations that TeamPersona was built.
In September 1996, TeamPersona was awarded a place on Pacific Bell's prestigious preferred vendor list. In November 1997, TeamPersona was awarded a place on Pacific Gas & Electric's
preferred vendor list. Sales have doubled nearly every year since the company began, evidence of the superior customer service we are known to provide.
